The present article includes a reflection about the family con- figuration, from the social vulnerability situation in accordance with the network intervention terms to promote the inclusion of these families through the Reference Center for Social Assistance - CRAS. The re- search is based on a bibliographical research, using the Community Social Psychology as guiding basis to this reflection. We problematize throughout the text the difficulties in defining a psychological praxis in the Social Assistance area with the professional necessity to seek a more committed action with the current demand, centered on the new family configuration resulting from the family socio-cultural crisis. We present in this article the active Psychology in the Public Policies in accordance with the socio-economically vulnerable family, becoming a user of the assistance rights. With this investigation, we consider that the professional practice needs to adapt to the new family arrange- ments existent in the Social Assistance attendances, since the families are more and more composed by women providers of home and live- lihood.
