Abstract

伝統的建造物群保存地区制度は建造物という単体の保存から集落景観の保全へと文化財の概念をひろげた。本研究では白川村荻町を例に集落景観の特徴を把握し, それを保全する仕組を明らかにした。その結果, 水路や石垣によって細かい領域が形成されており, 垂直要素が少ないことが景観の特徴となっていることがわかった。また, 地区における維持管理主体は変容していること, 規制や基準では景観の特徴を保全するための項目はなく, 逆に現状変更において景観の特徴を損なう場合もあることが明らかになった。以上から, 集落景観を保全するための仕組の再構築が必要であることが示唆された。
