Les vins du Nouveau Monde sont-ils a-géographiques ? (Are the wines of the New World a-geographics ?)

Abstract

The world of the wine knows a radical transformation : its passage of an artisanal activity to an industrial activity, as this was the case for others sectors agrobusiness. A new models of wine growing puts in place, that exceeds the too simple opposition Old World vs New World. Resting on wines from vine -for standardization needs - proposed by powerful international enterprises, it grants an essential role to rules of the market. This particularly offensive model risks to put to earth the ancient regulation constructed by the International Organization of the Vine and the Wine (OIV) , which rests on a cultural definition of the wine.
