Abstract

In the study on mineral provenance or bronzes,the application of trace elements is not satisfactory.Therefore,the simulating experiment of smelting and founding bronze was carried out and the data analyzed with multi-statistical method,to discuss the feasibility of trace elements analysis in the study on the provenance of copper minerals of ancient bronzes.Then the analytical results showed that the copper minerals from different regions could be divided clearly with multi-statistical analysis by choosing the chalcophile and siderophile elements concentrating in copper,but not the siderophile and lithophile elements enriched in slag.
