Study of dispatching at minimum waiting time of public transportation transfer under the condition of ITS

Abstract

Based on past study,and intelligent transportation systems providing real-time information,authors study on dispatching at public transfer so as to minimize waiting time when transferring among different transit service,optimizing transit transfer time,and incarnating efficiency and advantage of APTS. In order to analyze the method of establishing bus schedules with the goal of enabling short waiting time when transferring among public lines,authors apply linear programming model and validate the feasibility of the model with application examples through a transfer terminal. The result indicates:this method minimizes waiting time of public transfer,especially for public lines with large headways.
