Abstract

Different from most developed countries where urban planning of all scales exists under a single spatial planning system,China's basic reality and system characteristics determine a parallel system of spatial planning in which departments from different administrative levels have diverse spatial planning,and even department of the same level has diverse plans.Therefore,a coordination mechanism between different spatial plans is crucial.Based on some experiences of spatial planning from developed countries and the problems of current planning system,this article proposes a coordination mechanism among different spatial plans with practical principles and countermeasures.
