Travelers’ Willingness to Use Park and Ride Facilities and Additional Transport in the Context of Commuting and Shopping Trips to City Centers

Abstract

This paper describes the findings of a study concerning travelers’ willingness to use Park and Ride (PR travel time from PR the costs for both parking and connecting transport; the presence of shopping facilities at the PR the parking costs and the demand for parking in the city center. Travel time and travel costs are important characteristics to stimulate travelers to use P&R facilities. Other characteristics, including parking related characteristics in the city center are less important.
