Abstract

Abstract This chapter analyses migration regimes in the European Union. It reviews the place of European integration and migration regimes within international relations theory, emphasizing the double challenge presented by European integration and international migration to state sovereignty. It discusses the establishment of the intra-EU migration regime, and the emerging regime governing migration to the EU.
