Typically referred to as Blood and Breath or Water and Air, the Twinned Cosmos permeates all aspects of Indian culture, from spiritualities to mathematics. Everything that exists not only exists in a Twinship but also as double matched sets of Twinships, which must be balanced in a smooth collaboration of the interactive halves of any natural whole. The Blood half, especially as expressed in clans, belongs to women, and the Breath half, especially as expressed in spatiality, belongs to men. This chapter gives multiple, extended examples of how Blood and Breath are parsed out, spiritually, especially in cardinal directionality, land mass formations, and stellar constellations, which naturally expresses the Twinship, as well as in constructions including mounds, clans, and marriages, which concentrate and amplify the natural properties of Blood and Breath. The Horned Serpent (Blood) and the Thunderbirds (Breath) of tradition are canvassed.
