My earlier article about Corral Redondo in Ñawpa Pacha focused on the famous Wari faceneck vessels and blue-and-yellow feather panels discovered at the site in January 1943. In this follow-up, I discuss and illustrate the sizable group of Inca-style objects—most of them miniatures—found at the site at the same time; only a few have been published, mostly without Corral Redondo provenience. These objects, along with information obtained during a visit to the Churunga Valley in 2013, suggest that, during Inca times, the site was a huaca where a capacocha ceremony may have taken place; the site may have been associated with a gold mine. Additional information found in newspapers from 1943 in libraries in Lima and Arequipa provides new details about the earlier Wari objects.
