The article describes the factors influencing the change of certain educational traditions in the hospitality industry. Found new trends for the development of new hotels, tourist, resort and restaurant concepts. The article gives an overview of existing educational programs in the Russian magistracy in the hospitality industry in the direction of «Tourism» and «Hotel Business». Investigated master´s programs in similar directions in foreign universities, and found significant differences on the proposed Specialization Program abroad and in Russian universities. The article substantiates necessity of creation specialized master programs for training in the hospitality industry on the basis of differentiation, diversification, decentralization selected courses disciplines. The author emphasizes that the retreat from the unification of master´s programs in this area will promote the occurrence of a large number of different specializations, new master´s degree programs and elective courses.
