Industrial Policy and the Management of Technological Development of the Industrial Complex of Russia in Conditions of Forced Autarchy

Abstract

As the history shows, those states are to survive, which within periods of crises and external threats are able to put aside outworn stereotypes of their previous existence. In the XXI century new challenges have put Russia to the task of accelerating its technological and economic development; otherwise Russia is to give up its status of a world’s great power. As it is quite clear now, the efficient economy — is the economy based on intense use of new knowledge. It is also clear enough, that the package of decisions, aimed to provide transition to the efficient economy can be worked out on the basis of ingenuous and unconventional decisions, especially since the prevailing conditions of a present day seem to be extremely unfavorable.
