Requirements elicitation to develop mobile application for elderly

Abstract

The requirement elicitation is an importance phase in software engineering process. It is a success key for measuring the software project. The mobile user interface design is always lack of concern towards the usability of the elderly. The elderly always having a problem in understanding and using the application on mobile phone. These problems pose challenged for improvements to be made in requirements elicitation process. This paper provides the requirements elicitation technique to use for gathering requirements from the elderly in order to solve the problem to a develop and designing the usability mobile user interface for the elderly. The persona, prototype, scenarios and heuristic evaluation were used to elicit the requirements from elderly. With the prototype, the elderly was used to evaluate follow by the scenarios. The development team will identify and fix problems before they are coded.
