Abstract

Against the synthesis of debate surrounding the transformation of traditional museums embracing new technologies, the author explores one aspect of the Western Australian Maritime Museum's online developments. The 'Diving into shipwrecks' project involves maritime museums and maritime archaeological practitioners world-wide in the creation of distributed database of underwater excavations.
