EnglishIn this article we present some of the results obtained in the fieldworks carried out in northeast Ghana in the framework of the research project Archaeology in the Upper White Volta funded by the Ministry of Culture program «Grants for archaeological projects abroad». The paper addresses the dynamics generated between the transmission of technological knowledge in pottery production and the potters’ ethnic affiliation. It was observed that a single pottery tradition is documented in the Saboba district closely related to the strong interaction existing between the Konkomba and the Chakosi ethnic groups that inhabit the region.
