Abstract

[From Introduction] The research project ‘Understanding Everyday\nParticipation- Articulating Cultural Values’ (AHRC 2012-\n2018) explores the ways in which the ‘situatedness’\nor the social/spatial context of participation is\nan important factor in understanding the sociopolitical\ndynamics of cultural participation (Miles\nand Gibson, 2016 and see project www at http://\nwww.everydayparticipation.org/). This report on the\ngeography of library and leisure centre discusses the\nimpact of geography and asset attractiveness\n on\nparticular kinds of cultural and leisure participation.
