This paper presents the results of the development of a self-report measure of perceived organizational innovativeness (PORGI). The 25-item instrument was found to have excellent reliability, and construct and predictive validity. PORGI was found to be a significant predictor of four measures of employee job satisfaction. Employees' satisfaction with their own work was best predicted by individual innovativeness. In addition, both PORGI and individual innovativeness were found to be significant predictors of employee participation at each stage of the organizational innovation-decision process.
