This article discusses the relationship between body and learning in education, having the Freinet pedagogy as a guideline for discussions. We assume, along the text the body conception that deals with sustained unit by embodiment, contextualizing it in school education. The idea is to establish a dialogue with the Freinet pedagogy, in an interface with other studies on the body in education, in an effort to keep alive the need that the Body Education must have space in school, not only on the pedagogies that rely on physical activities, but an education that considers corporeality as an essential condition of human nature, for which the school education should not close the pedagogical possibilities in bringing the student to understand the body in its wide aspects and not only by the institutionalized rationalism conception, which often annihilates the other senses.
