Abstract

This paper explores the differences in both access\nand use of information and communication\ntechnologies (ICT) by elderly women in the Europe\nof 28. An analysis of secondary sources based\non Eurostat data is presented, which allows us\nto describe and compare the access and use of\ntechnologies among elderly women, with special\nattention to the differences between countries and\ntheir geographical location within Europe.\nThe aim is to find out whether there are differences\nin access and use of ICTs according to age and\ngender, which could constitute a double vulnerability\nin the use of these technologies, and thus further\nincrease the digital divide and contribute to greater\nsocial exclusion of elderly women.
