EnglishThe paper investigates whether knowledge redistribution and technological innovation have given new momentum to workers as individuals while reviving the notion of “freedom of contract” in employment law. The analysis of both the recent judgments concerning salaried employment and the rules on project work seems to refute this hypothesis. Emphasis is also given to the impact of technology innovation and the knowledge society on job performances, which are increasingly characterized by creativity and autonomy.
