The term “successful ageing” often excites researchers, scholars and policy-makers, considering its wider implications on the nation’s economy. Though there is no established pattern to attain successful ageing, an individual’s genetic makeup, environment, lifestyle, achievement, aspiration index, management of stress and acceptance of the changing world are some of the determinants, but there are individualistic ways to achieve successful ageing too. This chapter presents an in-depth analysis of many successful older adults who have either continued to be engaged gracefully in their old profession or learned new skills and are enjoying it. It discusses details of life course perspective of active ageing, preparation for healthy ageing and step by step guideline for lifestyle modification, such as healthy diet and doable exercises. The chapter explains “How to be happy in late life?”—in fact “how do we prepare and practice happiness in our life?”
