Kenti Sahiplenmenin Veri Altyapısı: Küyerelleşme Sürecinde Kültür Varlıkları Envanteri ve Paylaşımı

Abstract

Development of sense of claiming the city in its residents with consciousness of "urbanity" or "citizenship" and sense of belonging depends basically on the knowledge and awareness for the cultural assets that are owned by the others or the public along with those on their own posession.Based on a theoretical discussion, the study focuses on the construction process and the general context of a data infrastructure that would contribute to formation of such awareness. For this purpose, within the contemporary context formed by social dynamics, the focus is the age of "glocalization" as popularized by Robertson. It discusses the requirement of an interactive, geographical and new-technology inventory of cultural assets that allows the inclusion of the community during its formation and later lets the access, monitoring and expression of the reaction of this community if needed, rather than the design of an inventory of cultural assets database for a case area.Such an inventory of urban cultural assets, which should also be compatible with the existing international and/or national systems and standards, is emphasized in this paper. However, the possibility to expand such a data infrastructure within its own context in time, formation of similar inventories for rural settlements and natural assets within a larger geographical context and their use for conservation and improvement of these resources are equally important.
