Entrepreneurship is a contextual activity that is dependent on cultural, social, and lifestyle factors. This means it is important to take a holistic approach that incorporates societal changes when discussing and researching entrepreneurship. The aim of this special journal issue is to build on the existing literature by focusing more on the interlinkages between cultural, lifestyle, and social entrepreneurship. Thereby providing a more explicit focus about the social changes that are occurring based on socio-demographic and lifestyle changes that are affecting entrepreneurs. This provides a novel way to focus on emerging issues within the entrepreneurship literature that have a cultural, social, and lifestyle component, which is especially important with the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
