In today's world where technology is advancing at a dizzying pace, the transformations experienced in classical education models enable the spread of distance education models in which there is no obligation to be in a classroom. Unlike formal tourist guidance education, where the attendance of learners and teachers to classes is regularly brought together in designated places in terms of time and place, distance tourist guidance education can provide education opportunities through various communication paths where learners and teachers do not need to come together in physical environments during the education period. The aim of this study is to determine the opinions of tourism guidance students who receive tourism education at undergraduate level formal education institutions about distance guidance method of tourist guidance. The sample of the study consists of 25 undergraduate students who continue their formal education in the Fall Semester of 2018-2019 Academic Year at the Tourism Guidance Department of the Dedicated Aydin Adnan Menderes University. The research was designed in a qualitative research design in order to gain in-depth knowledge and a semi-structured questionnaire was used to collect data. According to the findings of the data obtained from the content analysis method, it is seen that the participants of the study consider the distance guidance method as an alternative method for the education of those who are financially or time constrained, but think that it cannot be as effective as the face-to-face education.
