Abstract

The dissertation aims to establish the hierarchy of functional projections in the IP domain of Saamáka. In order to determine this hierarchy, it is important to study the semantic interpretation and syntactic distribution of each individual tense, aspect and modality morpheme. After which the interaction of these morphemes is studied to determine the exact position in the hierarchy of the individual morphemes.
