Abstract

After a mere week of deliberations, the California legislature passed the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), a sweeping, insanely complicated, and poorly drafted privacy regulation that will govern the world's fifth largest economy. This chapter provides a short overview of the law and a few of its many problems.
