describe the cognitive theory of depression / the stages of cognitive therapy of depression are outlined / communicate the underlying structure that guides the cognitive therapist / provide a summary of the large body of empirical evidence bearing on the validity of the cognitive theory and the efficacy of cognitive therapy for depression / consider the variables related to the effectiveness of cognitive therapy behavioral techniques in cognitive therapy.
