Leadership and Management in Organizations Management Theory and Practice Global and Cross-Cultural Management

Abstract

In this chapter we will be discussing what supervisory management is , and how it differs from other levels of management . We will show that, although supervisors work in many different environments and in numerous industries, there are many common elements in the supervisory aspects of their work. The main supervisory duties will be identified, analysed and discussed, together with the skills needed for effective supervision.
