Oral folklore has great importance in studying early forms of religious \nbeliefs. The shamanic worldview found expression not only in rituals, \nbut also in folklore. During their seances, Tuvan shamans "voyaged" \nin the "subterranean" world, the "celestial" world, and the "middle" \nworld, populated by people. The shamans told their listeners of their \nimpressions and actions. It might be said that shamans created worlds \nthrough words. Yet shamanic poetry has not yet been investigated as a \npart of Tuvan folklore.
