ABS TRACT Objective:The aim of this study was to evaluate the seroprevalence of HBV, HCV, HIV and syphilis in blood donors in our region and also to compare the seropositivity rates between the periods of 2003-2006 and 2007-2010. Materials and Methods:A total of 15696 blood donors were included in the study.HBsAg, anti-HCV antibody and anti-HIV1/2 antibody levels were determined by Microparticle Enzyme Immunoassay (MEIA) method.Syphilis was screened by Rapid Plasma Reagin (RPR) test. Results: The seropositivity rates of HBsAg, anti-HCV, antibody and RPR were found as 1.29%, 0.16%, and 0.02%, respectively.None of the donors tested positive for anti-HIV1/2 antibody. There was no statistically significant difference between two study periods. Conclusion: The results of the present study are similar to other reports from our country.(Viral Hepatitis Journal 2012; 18(1): 11-4) Key words: HBsAg, anti-HCV antibody, anti-HIV 1/2 antibody, RPR, blood donors ÖZET Amaç: Bu çalışmada bölgemizdeki kan donörlerin hepatit B virüs (HBV), hepatit C virüs (HCV), HIV ve sifiliz seropozitiflik oranlarının retrospektif olarak belirlenmesi ve 2003 yılından itibaren 2006 yılına kadar geçen dönem ile 2007-2010 yılları arasındaki seropozitiflik oranlarının karşılaştırılması amaçlanmıştır.
