Report on the Installation of Street Stands in the Downtown Entertainment District

Abstract

東京都心の歓楽街である仲町通りには老舗から風俗店に至るまで様々な店舗が集積し、誰もが歩きやすいと感じられる路上空間が求めらている。新型コロナウイルス感染症対策として、屋外空間外灯スタンドと呼ばれるスタンド型路上客席を設置する社会実験を行い、利用者のアクティビティを調査した結果、路上に人が滞留する風景を作り出し、路上空間の雰囲気の改善と地域の店舗間の結束を強化する可能性を見出すことができた。
