This research examines the impact of subjective norm, perceived behavioral control (associated with the Theory of Planned Behavior), self-efficacy, and entrepreneurship education on the entrepreneurial intention of students in a higher education institution. To measure the different constructs, a questionnaire was applied to 300 students and a structural equation model was used to validate the relationship between entrepreneurial intention and its determinants. The results show a positive and significant relationship between entrepreneurial intention and three of the factors considered: subjective norm, perceived behavioral control, and entrepreneurship education. The relationship between self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention did not prove to be statistically significant. The conclusions of the study imply that the different organizations associated with the promotion and development of entrepreneurship should adopt a joint strategy to stimulate attitudes and behaviors, implementing educational programs that enhance the entrepreneurial spirit.
