Research on public policy is a reflection of the contemporary policy issues, and is always expected to generate policy implications and policy recommendations for the government. Nevertheless, the state of globalization has formed external environment that has significant impacts on the research of this area. In this chapter we analyze the quantity of publication at the departmental level and the published articles in the TSSCI journals. The findings are as the following: (1) Faculties in public universities seem to be more “productive” in terms of the quantity of published works; (2) Comparing to ten years ago (around 2003), the quantity of published TSSCI PA/PP articles is increasing, while the growth of the submitted article manuscripts is slowing down in the recent two years; (3) The coauthorship gradually becomes a mainstream in PA/PP publications; and (4) There are still many journal articles fitting none of the 55 themes we identified as major PA/PP topics in this chapter, and this implies the inter-disciplinary nature of PA/PP as a field of study may increase the diversity of PA/PP research.
