Abstract This chapter suggests that the human voice—specifically the singing voice, represents an important way for individuals to care for one another in the world, a care desperately needed as discord appears more prevalent than consonance. It proposes singing and caring connections through a developmental lens and explore how singing interactions within oneself and with others embody singing-caring relations. Using Miller’s holistic approach to education, it anchors singing-caring relations with inclusion, balance, and connection. Lastly, it offers practice examples from public school and youth community choral settings as possibilities for educators to build singing-caring relations with singers.
