Abstract

Abstract Both pre-existing and negotiated agreements give an opportunity for flexibilities that are not available under the standard information and consultation provisions and which may therefore makes them attractive for the employer, employees, and their representatives. These are in addition to other potential benefits (and in some cases disadvantages) described in greater detail in Chapter 3 (in relation to pre-existing agreements) and Chapter 5 (in relation to negotiated agreements).
