Abstract This chapter examines the circumstances in which the standard information and consultation provisions laid down in the ICE Regulations will apply and the extent of the obligations the standard arrangements impose on employers. It covers the following areas: when the standard information and consultation arrangements apply; the requirements for the election of information and consultation representatives; when there will be an obligation to inform and/ or consult; the timing obligations that are likely to attach to any requirement to inform and/or consult; and
