Abstract A new English translation, with commentary, of the treatise On Issues by Hermogenes of Tarsus (AD C.160-225). The book is intended to make sophisticated theories of argument developed by Greek teachers of rhetoric in the second century AD accessible both to specialist and non-specialist readers. Of interest to scholars of all types of Greek literature.
