Higher education in Slovakia is primarily oriented on academic knowledge, memorization of theory and lessons. Based on our practical experience, most of the education takes place in classrooms, where students sit most of the time behind desks and listen to the teacher, follow the teaching process, and in the case of practically oriented subjects, sit in laboratories, at computers or at various machines. While the use of information technology has brought innovations to education and some benefits, it has often resulted in students spending a large part of the learning process in a sedentary position. Several studies over the last decade have confirmed the positive impact of movement and body engagement in the educational process not only in learning but also on students' overall well-being. The aim of this paper is to share the experience of using embodiment and body awareness in Project Management teaching at the Faculty of Management, Comenius University Bratislava.
