The article discusses the results of reconnaissance work on the Sandiyak hillfort in the Perm region (Kuedinsky district), conducted by the Bardym detachment of the Kamsko-Vyatka archaeological expedition of the UdGU (Izhevsk) under the guidance of the author. The monument dates from the IV-VII centuries. The sources of the work are unpublished archaeological materials from excavations in 1987. The results of the study of mass material — molding ceramics — and a description of the inventory are presented, the place of the settlement among the ancient objects of the Kama region is determined. Based on the comparative statistical and stylistic method of Helen V. Volkova (Institute of the Archaeology of Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow) of studying molded pottery, the idea of two complexes of ceramics on the hillfort is expressed. Bakhmutinsky and Kushnarenkovsky type dishes as an import item, as well as dishes-imitation of it. The results of the osteological analysis of animal bones are given. The hillfort, located in the forest zone of the PreUrals, probably was left by the ethnically mixed population.
