Is it rational to care about when in time events take place? This chapter looks at time bias in two forms: near bias and past/future bias. It introduces decision theory, and illustrates the costs of changing your mind. It looks at some reasons it might be rational to change your mind. These include changes in information, changes of circumstances, changes in values, changes in what's actual. It also considers why children are different from tins of rhubarb.
