Among Sustainable Vineyards

Abstract

Sustainability has become a key issue across all economic sectors, but especially in the beverage industry, and the wine industry. Worldwide, an ever-increasing number of manufacturers are committing to reducing their carbon footprint to combat climate change. Bodegas y Viñedos Castiblanque, a winery in the La Mancha area of Spain, stands as an important reference for sustainability. This family-owned company is engaged in a significant project of wine production, manufacturing, and marketing. Simultaneously, it provides visitors with the opportunity to explore the winery, its history, and the latest technological advancements combined with artisan tradition. The case study analyzes this winery's sustainability and innovation management, highlighting key outcomes resulting from its participation in the tourism sustainability plan implemented in the tourism destination of Campo de Criptana (Spain).
