This chapter explores how AI and smart technologies could altogether be integrated to bring revolutionary change in the fields of disaster forecasting and management. It will try to analyze through advanced algorithms and IoT sensors how these technologies can potentially advance a disaster-related prediction along with accuracy and timeliness. Important applications of real-time data collection, predictive modeling, and automated alerts collectively enhance response strategies as well as resource allocation. This chapter's discussion of the promise of AI merged with smart technologies—improved predictiveness, faster response times, and better risk assessment—perhaps weighs the potential liabilities and limitations of such applications, including data privacy issues and infrastructures sturdy enough to host such a system. This chapter draws on case studies and continuing research into the use of AI-driven systems in disasters to present insights about how they are changing practices in disaster management and outline future directions for the emerging field.
