Dynamic knowledge management and supply chain integration: driving innovation and resilience in Korean shipping SMEs

Abstract

Focusing on the Korean shipping industry, this study examines firm performance through organizational innovation and resilience and analyses the impact of dynamic knowledge management (DKM) on supply chain integration and firm performance. Using a mixed-methods approach, the study first surveyed 76 Korean shipping SMEs. The results show that DKM significantly enhances supply chain integration, fostering organizational innovation and resilience. Further, supply chain integration plays a positive mediating role in the relationship between DKM and corporate performance. A text mining analysis of Korean news reports further validated these findings. The findings provide valuable guidance for the shipping companies’ operations.
