The article is aimed at studying the role of industrial policy in the process of structural transformation of the economy in the context of achieving technological sovereignty of the state. Approaches to the study of the relationship between the processes of structural transformation and economic growth through the prism of new global challenges such as fragmentation of economic space and technological sovereignty are investigated. The STEG (Structural Transformation and Economic Growth) concept is used as a methodological approach of the study, the main empirical models that make up the methodological apparatus of this concept are considered. The scientific novelty of the study consists in the fact that the STEG concept is supplemented by the aspect of technological sovereignty, which emphasizes the technological aspects of structural transformation and complements the externalities of the economic growth process. The authors' scientific contribution brings a new understanding of the role of industrial policy within the framework of the supplemented methodological approach “ST-TS-EG” (“Structural Transformation - Technological Sovereignty - Economic Growth”), which is to achieve technological sovereignty in the process of structural transformation and has as its main goal economic growth. The necessity of transition from traditional models of industrial policy to the industrial policy of technological sovereignty is substantiated.
