Educational curricula require systematic and regular evaluation to maintain relevance and university Hospitality Management programs are no exception. This study assessed gaps and trends in curricular topics, soft skill development, and practical skills and experiences through a case study of a university program in the United States (U.S.). A concurrent mixed-methods approach involving multiple stakeholders guided comprehensive curriculum development and revealed differing values on certain topics and skills. This study emphasizes the need for Hospitality programs to adapt their curriculum by incorporating hands-on industry experience, leadership training, and development of both hard and soft skills, ensuring students are well-prepared for future industry demands. It contributes to the understanding of the industry-academia gap through the lens of education and curriculum, benefiting the reevaluation of similar U.S. programs.
