Artificial intelligence (AI) has rapidly evolved from a theoretical concept to an integral part of daily life. This chapter examines AI's impact on the development of critical thinking, consumption habits, career prospects, mental health, and ethical considerations among younger generations. The easy accessibility of AI-generated responses raises concerns that youth may increasingly depend on AI, potentially diminishing independent reasoning skills. This reliance has led educational systems to implement AI-detection tools to limit overuse in assignments, aiming to promote students' critical thinking and academic integrity. The chapter concludes with recommendations for ethical AI use and suggests perspectives for future developments.
