The main areas of work of the expert community and the VEO of Russia in 2024 are considered. There is an increasing demand from authorities for expert support in decision-making in the field of economic policy. The new electoral cycle is associated with the updating of national development goals, the formation of new national projects, and the refinement of a few strategic planning documents. This activity involves the support of the scientific community in a wide range of areas, from the justification of strategic goals of economic policy to quantitative assessments of the economic effectiveness of planned activities. The article considers the key derections of current economic policy, issues of changing the parameters of the global economy, requirements for the Strategy of Spatial Development of Russia, issues of implementation of budget and monetary policy.
