Ethnomathematics is an approach related to mathematics and culture that is commonly used in research to facilitate the understanding of a mathematical concept through culture. Indonesia has many and varied cultures with their characteristics. Surakarta City is one of the areas whose cultural values are still preserved by the people. In this research, we will explore the concept of mathematics, precisely geometry on a famous cultural object in Surakarta, the Keraton Surakarta Hadiningrat area, namely Penhapa Ageng Sasana Sewaka. The purpose of this research is to explore the geometric concepts contained in Pendhapa Ageng Sasana Sewaka. This research is qualitative and uses an ethnographic approach in which in general four questions must be answered, namely "Where do I start looking?", "How do I find it?", "How do I recognize that something important has been found there?", "How do I understand it?". After the four questions were answered, the researcher found the concept of plane geometry, spatial geometry, and reflections on the Pendhapa Ageng Sasana Sewaka building. With the results of this research, it is hoped that it can increase the public’s insight, especially students, about Indonesian culture, moreover, it can create a feeling of love and a sense of wanting to preserve it and can be used by teachers for learning geometry at school.
