Generative AI is transforming education by giving tailored learning experiences and creative teaching approaches. However, this change brings substantial ethical challenges. This chapter analyzes the ethical implications of generative AI in education, concentrating on privacy concerns, algorithmic prejudice, and the integrity of academic processes. Privacy difficulties arise from the vast data collection and potential exploitation of sensitive information, while biases in AI systems risk reproducing inequities and marginalizing disadvantaged populations. Additionally, the rise of AI tools poses problems about maintaining academic honesty and preserving the authenticity of learning. By addressing these challenges, this chapter presents a critical examination of ethical frameworks, case studies, and policy recommendations to guarantee that generative AI is applied responsibly in educational environments. It finishes by underlining the necessity for coordinated efforts among educators, technologists, and policymakers to develop an egalitarian and trustworthy AI-driven education system.
