Abstract This study employs Geographic Information System (GIS)-based network analysis to determine optimal routes for accessing tourist destinations on Siargao Island, Philippines. Siargao, an increasingly popular destination, faces challenges with transportation infrastructure affecting travel efficiency. This research updates road networks across eight municipalities—Burgos, Dapa, Del Carmen, General Luna, Pilar, San Benito, San Isidro, and Santa Monica—and uses GIS tools to categorize routes and conduct topological assessments to enhance data accuracy. Through network analysis, efficient routes from primary terminals (Sayak Airport and Dapa Seaport) to 42 tourist sites were identified, indicating that while no sites are accessible within 10 minutes from Dapa Port, all are reachable within 80 minutes. Conversely, from Sayak Airport, two sites are within 10 minutes, expanding to all sites within 70 minutes. The minimized impedance model showed reduced travel times, optimizing accessibility from primary terminals to major attractions. A digital map website, accessible via https://one-siargao.vercel.app, presents the analysis results and enables tourists to explore optimal routes. This GIS-based approach supports improved infrastructure planning and highlights the potential of digital mapping for enhancing the tourism experience.
